Proudly displaying the flags

Before the rodeo got underway Thursday night at the Lyon County Fair in Marshall, there was the presentation of flags.

Part of the presentation was to honor service men of all branches.

Ghent native Alaine Buysse showed off the colors of the United States Air Force as she returned to the position she's taken for many years.

Buysse, daughter of the Brian and Lynn Buysse of Ghent, is in college but returns to her roots to help out at the county fair.

The fair continues through Sunday in Marshall.
