Moorse tops in FFA Market Dairy Goat at State Fair


FFA Judging took place last weekend at the Minnesota State Fair.
Minneota had several individuals bring home high placings. Gared Moorse took a first place and reserve champion in the Market Dairy Goat division. Taking a first and other places were Troy Skaar and Laura Knutson.
Grady Moorse placed ninth in dairy judging. Here are the Minneota kids garnering awards:
MARKET DAIRY GOAT: Gared Moorse, first, Reserve Champion Overall; Cody Gifford, seventh; Josh Schuelke, third; Kira Gifford, 11th; Jodi Buysse, 12th; Grady Moorse, second, third, 10th and Honorable Mention Pair; and Logan Schuelke, sixth.
MARKET GOAT: Stephanie Kimpe, 10th; Brenden Kimpe, 15th; Isabelle Kimpe, fifth, 10th.
SHEEP: Rachel Vlaminck, fifth, seventh, 10th, 17th; Carly Van Keulen, seventh; Alex Guttormsson, sixth; Heidi Guttormsson, fifth.
SWINE: Troy Skaar, first, third, third, fourth, fourth, eighth; Laura Knutson, first, sixth; Travis Engels, third, fourth, fourth.
DAIRY JUDGING: Grady Moorse ninth overall individual; team of Kira Gifford, Josh Schuelke, Logan Schuelke, Brooke Moorse and Grady Moorse, ninth team overall.
