LCSO to serve Minneota needs until hiring of new police chief

The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office would like to congratulate Chief Bill Bolt on his retirement and thank him for his dedicated service to the citizens of Minneota.
The City of Minneota is working diligently to hire a new Chief of Police to serve the community. The Sheriff’s Office recognizes that there will be a gap period between Chief Bolt’s retirement and the hiring of a new police chief. During this gap period, the Sheriff’s Office will handle the law enforcement needs for the City of Minneota.
Starting January 18, 2025 and up until the time the next police chief is hired, citizens are asked to contact the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office if they need law enforcement help.
As always, please call 911 for emergencies. For non-emergency needs, please call 507-537-7666.
