HIGH WIND WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 4 PM THIS AFTERNOON TO 4 AM CDT TUESDAY... ...WIND ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 4 AM TO 4 PM CDT TUESDAY...

* WHAT...For the High Wind Warning time period, northwest winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 60 mph expected. For the Wind Advisory time periods, northwest winds 25 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph expected.

* WHERE...In South Dakota, Brookings County. In Minnesota, Pipestone, Cottonwood, Murray, Lincoln and Lyon Counties.

* WHEN...For the High Wind Warning, from 4 PM this afternoon to 4 AM CDT Tuesday. For the first Wind Advisory, from 4 AM to 4 PM CDT Tuesday. For the second Wind Advisory, until 4 PM CDT this afternoon.

* IMPACTS...Damaging winds may blow down trees and power lines. Power outages are possible. Travel will be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... People should avoid being outside in forested areas and around trees and branches. If possible, remain in the lower levels of your home during the windstorm, and avoid windows. Use caution if you must drive.
