FFA teams excel at ‘Little I’, Moorse places fifth

On Friday, the members of the Minneota FFA traveled to the Little International Invitational hosted by South Dakota State University in Brookings, SD.

FFA Chapters from North Dakota, South Dakota, Iowa, Minnesota and Nebraska were all in attendance. Minneota competed in the dairy and general livestock divisions. The team placings are determined from the team’s top four scores.

The Minneota Dairy Evaluation team also had a great day placing third out of 45 teams. Grady Moorse was a high placing individual as he placed fifth overall. Members of the dairy team included: Grady Moorse, Justin Buysse, Donnie Schuelke, Emily Buysse, Kira Gifford, Levi Vierstraete, Brooke Moorse and Logan Schuelke.

The Minneota General Livestock team placed sixth out of 80 teams. Cody Gifford and Rachel Vlaminck were the top finishers for the day tieing for 38th place overall. Members of the team include: Cody Gifford, Rachel Vlaminck, Gared Moorse, Carly Van Keulen, Brenden Kimpe, Travis Engels, Brynn Lozinski and Brady Gifford.

The Minneota FFA will be in action this Friday, April 7 at the Region V competition to be held at SDSU in Brookings, SD. The top teams from the event will then advance to the state contests later this month.
