Farmer's Market looking to expand
The Minneota Farmer's Market has been an increasingly popular weekly event in the summer, but organizer Jenny Buysse is hoping to take it a step forward.
While the majority of farmer's markets charge vendor fees to set up and sell their product, Minneota's is free of charge. That is one reason why they get a wide variety of vendors and products.
"We have some great vendors with produce, baked goods, honey, jewelry, crafts, eggs, Tastefully Simple and many other items," Buysse said. "Now, we would like to invite those with other talents such as music and singing to entertain our shoppers."
Anyone interested in volunteering to sing, play music, juggle, caricature drawing or any other talent that would entertain is welcome to perform on a Thursday evening during the Minneota Farmer's Market on the west parking lot of Veteran Park on the intersection of First and Jefferson Streets.
"We are also the perfect place to hold fundraising events like popcorn sales, BBQ meals, walking tacos and more," said Buysse. "We are open to any group who like to be a part of our farmer's market."
This year, the Minneota Farmer's Market will begin on July 22 and run every Thursday evening from 5-7 p.m. Vendors do not need to pre-register and are not obligated to show up each week; just when it is convenient for them.
If you would like to entertain or for more information om vending, please call Jenny at 507-828-7826 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
"We are excited to 'grow' our Farmer's Market," Buysse noted.
