Duck Races tonight at Countryside GC

Bring on the ducks!
No, not the type you serve for a meal. We're talking about tonight's Rubber Duck Races, the annual Boxelder Bug Days fundraiser.
Today is your last chance to purchase tickets for the race that will be held at 7 p.m. today at the river at Countryside Golf Club. Tickets are $5 for two ducks.
Tickets can be purchased as the following locations today until the end of their business hours: Brad's Market, Gislason's Ace Hardware, Highway 68 Liquor and Minneota Building Materials.
Tickets can also be purchased at Countryside Golf Club up until 6:55 p.m. to be included in the race.
Last year's Boxelder Bug Days royalty - Queen Brooke Moorse, First Princess Ellen Meagher, and Second Princesses Ava Larson and Morgen Wersal - will remove the ducks from the water and announce the winning entries from the race. The first-place winner received $200, while second place is worth $100, third place $50, and fourth through seventh place, $25 eachAll proceeds go toward defraying costs of entertainment and other things during the annual Boxelder Bug Days celebration which will be held on Sept. 10-12 this year.
The Rubber Duck Races had to be cancelled last summer due to the coronavirus pandemic. Boxelder Bug Days was also cancelled with the exception on the queen coronation and royalty parade that followed the coronation.
