A-door-able

A big construction project is going on at the Ghent City Hall, including workers shown here installing a new front door. Ghent is using COVID-19 funds to construct a decontamination area for its Fire Department in the basement of City Hall. Currently, the fire department is unable to social distance when responding to calls. To resolve some ADS issues in the entry area, the City of Ghent decided to replace the front door. The City of Ghent partnered with Lyon County, which helped fund the project with a $50,000 grant. "It's a great addition to our fire department and will house an extractor and dryer for their gear," said City Administrator Dawn Vlaminck.
