DePestel is recovering

Bubba DePestel of Minneota has been transferred to the Minneota Manor and is recovering from his wounds.
“He’s very comfortable now, and much happier,” said his partner Penny Orth.
“He’s breathing much better now and is recovering just fine,” she said.
DePestel was injured while deer hunting when he fell 15 feet from his deer stand to the ground.
DePestel had to be treated for a broken collar bone, collapsed lung and he had a hemotoma on his spine that had to be removed.
He was transferred to Minneota from Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls. At first, DePestel had a lack of movement in his right leg, but that has improved as time goes on.
“He’s doing well now that he’s at the Manor, “ Orth said.
