Winds of the Prairie announces new Pastor
Winds of the Prairie Ministries (Bethany Lutheran Church, Arco and Bethany-Elim Lutheran Church, Ivanhoe) is proud to announce we have received a settled pastor, Pastor Jeff Greathouse started with us on November 1, 2018.
Pastor Jeff grew up in New Cumberland, WV, he went to New Cumberland Elementary and Jr. High School (K-9) and then Oak Glen High School which was made up of three junior high schools. He graduated there in 1990.
He went on to obtain a BA in Christian Education from Lincoln Christian University in Lincoln, IL. He graduated there in 1994. He received his MA in 1996 from Cincinnati Christian University, Cincinatti, OH in 1996.
He has a BA in Organizational Leadership Development from Wheeling Jesuit University in Wheeling, WV.
He received his TEEM Certificate in 2018 from Wartburg Theological Seminary in Dubuque, IA. Prior to coming to us at WOTP (Winds of the Prairie Ministries), Pastor Jeff worked in multiple churches in multiple states over the last 20 years, most of these where in youth, children and family ministry.
Outside of ministry, he has worked part-time or seasonal jobs in retail and industry. Pastor Jeff has been married to Stacey for 24 years. They have three children that will be seen around the area.
They are Isaiah (University of South Dakota), Jacob (University of Minnesota, TC), and Bethany (Marshall High School).
Along with his current position at WOTP you will also find Pastor Jeff working at Lutheran Campus Ministry on the campus of SMSU.
Pastor Jeff is looking forward to leading worship and presiding over the sacramens of communion and baptism with the community. He is also looking forward to being with the congregation as we simply do life together.
All are invited to attend and get to know Pastor Jeff Greathouse. Bethany Arco, worship is Wednesday nights with a potluck meal at 5:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. Worship. Bethany-Elim, Ivanhoe worship is Sunday mornings at 9 a.m. with coffee afterwards. Let us please make Pastor Jeff and his family feel welcome.
