Tickets are still available for Adult Prom

Tickets are still available for the second annual Adult Prom, a fundraiser for the resurfacing project at the community swimming pool. The Adult Prom will be held on Saturday, March 28 at the American Legion.

This year’s theme is Arabian Nights, although those attending do not have to dress up. Tickets for the event include a meal and are $30 apiece or $50 per couple.

The event will raise money to resurface the swimming pool by the spring of 2021 in order to prevent the denial of an operating license. Last year, over 100 people attended the Adult Prom, but ticket sales are slow this year, and organizers are hoping people understand the importance of keeping the pool open.

The Adult Prom features a roast beef dinner catered by Duke’s Corner Café, served at 6:30 p.m. The Youth of Hope is assisting in serving the mealProm pictures will be taken during social hour from 7:30-8:30 p.m. by photographer Reba Lipinski for couples or individuals wishing to have a keepsake from the event. There will also be a silent auction. Rob Anderson of Plush Play Entertainment of Marshall is returning to be the DJ for the evening.

The dance begins at 8 p.m. For those wishing to only attend the dance, tickets will be $15 each at the door. Alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase. Tickets are available from Prairie Winds Wellness or Gislason’s Hardware.

All tickets sold will be entered into a drawing for a family season pool pass.
