St. Edward School Happenings

Mrs. Mary Ann Horner

This week the Seventh and Eighth grade religion class wrapped up their discussions on the four marks of the Catholic Church. The learned that the four marks are: One – Just as God is one in the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit our Church is also one. Holy — The Church is Holy because Jesus is the source of all holiness. Through the Holy Spirit, the Church leads us to be Holy. Catholic — Catholic means universal. The Church proclaims its teaching throughout the world. Apostolic — The Church directly traces its traditions from the apostles. The Church continues the teachings of the apostles. The pope and bishops are successors of the apostles.
