Senator Dahms receives Public Television award

State Senator Gary Dahms (R-Redwood Falls) has received the Minnesota Public Television Good Neighbor Award from the Minnesota Public Television Association (MPTA). The award was presented to Senator Dahms for his outstanding support on Minnesota's pubic television stations at the Minnesota Legislature.
“It is critical we in Greater Minnesota have access to high-quality community-based programming,” Dahms said. “We cannot take our local television stations and the important programming they provide for granted. I am grateful to receive their award.”
The MPTA is an association of the six public television stations serving Minnesota. The stations are Pioneer PBS in western Minnesota, Lakeland PBS in north central Minnesota, Prairie Public in northwestern Minnesota, WDSE/WRPT in northeastern Minnesota, KSMQ Public Media in southeastern Minnesota, and Twin Cities PBS. The MPTA presents the Good Neighbor Award to legislators who demonstrate exceptional leadership in support of public television.
"Our station group knows what a privilege it is to receive support from our legislative leaders,” said MPTA President Patty Mester. "We are truly grateful to them for making it possible."
