Red Cross Helping Marshall Family Following Wednesday Apartment Fire

American Red Cross volunteers are providing help to a family of two adults and two children following an apartment building in the 1100 block of Birch Street, in Marshall on Wednesday evening.

Following devastating home fires and other incidents, Red Cross volunteers meet with those affected, making sure they have a safe, warm place to stay, clothing, food, emotional support and help with long-term recovery planning.

As part of continuing efforts to build individual and community resiliency, the Red Cross recommends following these home fire safety tips and downloading the free Red Cross First Aid App.

By empowering local volunteers, the American Red Cross is able to fulfill its mission to prevent and alleviate suffering in the face of emergencies.
