Pumpkin Walk deadline extended

The Lyon County Historical Society Museum in Marshall have extended the deadline for entries for its Pumpkin Walk to Saturday, Oct. 24.
The museum's Pumpkin Walk event to be held from Thursday, Oct. 29 to Saturday, Oct. 31 during the special hours of 10 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. each day.
The public is invited to view the entries and vote for their favorite in each category. A prize will be given to the top choice in each category. There will also be a prize for Overall Most Creative.
The categories and descriptions are:
Traditional: One carved, painted, and/or decorated pumpkin (artificial or real) of any size. Age groups are: 10-and-under, 11-18, and 19-and-over.
Family/Business/Organization: Multiple pumpkins (artificial or real) carved, painted, and/or decorated with a theme.
Fall Centerpiece Table Display: A fall centerpiece table display featuring at least one pumpkin (artificial or real).
Entry forms are available at the Lyon County Museum, online at www.lyoncomuseum.org, or send an email to director@lyoncomuseum.org. Entry forms must be received no later than Saturday, October 24 at 5 p.m. Completed entry forms can be returned by mail, email, or drop off.
