Otto Bremer Trust Awards grant to Avera

The Otto Bremer Trust has awarded a grant for $106,731 to the Avera Marshall Foundation for its Emergency Services upgrade campaign.

This gift completes the Foundation’s philanthropic campaign for this project, bringing it to the $600,000 goal.

“We’re incredibly grateful to the Otto Bremer Trust for their generous support that brings our fundraising for this project to a close,” said Abby Ahmann, Executive Director of the Avera Marshall Foundation.

“This gift builds on the Otto Bremer Trust’s continued support of quality health care for our region.”

Previous gifts from the Trust to the Avera Marshall Foundation include a $200,000 donation toward the building of Avera Cancer Institute Marshall in 2013 and a gift of $47,750 in 2011 to help fund the purchase of GeneXpert laboratory equipment for rapid detection of conditions like MRSA.

“The current gift will help us expand and redesign our Emergency Department to better serve the increased number of patients we see and enhance the space for the best possible care experience,” Ahmann said.
