Minneota Thrift Store will hold silent auction

The rains that have created so much havoc for farmers, and the same ones that poured on Boxelder Bug Days this year, also wiped out the Minneota Thrift Store’s Silent Auction.

So officials have decided to bring it back on Saturday, Nov. 2 at the VFW meeting room on Jefferson Street.

Because they have a variety of larger items, they use the annual silent auction to add to the money they raise for the St. Edward School and Church.

Bidding will take place from 8 a.m. to noon, then the merchandise will be available for the high bidders to pick up. Many items are on the auction, from a television to night stands and much more (see list in ad below, at right).

All merchandise must be picked up by 2 p.m. on Saturday.
