Minneota First Responders receive donation
Minneota’s Boxelder Bug Days is known to be a fun family weekend marking the end of summer and a chance for old friends to get together for reunions and family celebrations.
One of the highlights of the weekend for many is the Community Worship Service where all denominations can come together for worship on that Sunday morning in Boxelder Bug Square. Each year the Boxelder Bug Days Committee selects a local charity that is given the offering from the worship service.
This year, as in the past, the Hope Lutheran Church Mission Endowment Fund has graciously provided a match to that offering as well. The donation this year was given to the Minneota First Responders to help them purchase needed equipment for their emergency medical work in the community.
The worship service offering totaled $264.60 and was matched by the Endowment to bring the total donation to $1,000.
