LYON COUNTY REPUBLICANS ELECT NEW LEADERS

The Lyon County Republican convention met on Saturday and chose its officers and executive committee members for the next two years. John Alcorn and David Sturrock will serve as co-chairmen, Trudy Madetzke as secretary and John Rabaey as treasurer.
County Commissioner Districts 1-5 will be represented by Carolyn Bayerkohler, Layle French, Debbie Clark, Rick Konold and Don Bethune. New at-large members are Paul Lanoue, Chad Louwagie, Ed Raff, Braxton Seifert and Dan Zimansky.
Rick Konold continues a family tradition of Republican leadership as his late mother Jeanette served as a party board member for many years.
The convention also paid tribute to Debbie Clark and Layle French, who stepped down after many years of service as county co-chairs.
