Lyon County Museum seeking entries for Christmas Tree Walk
The Lyon County Museum of Marshall is seeking entries for the eighth annual Indoor Christmas Tree Walk, which will open on Saturday, Nov. 21 and run through New Year’s Eve.
Here is your chance to contribute your creativity and decorate a tree to be viewed by visitors over the holidays. We encourage you to be as creative as you can be, and to share your story with your decorated tree. We have a number of artificial trees six-foot high and over that are available on a first-come basis. Or, you may choose to bring your own artificial tree of any size.
Visitors will have a chance to vote for their favorite tree or trees. Voters will place money in boxes located at each tree to vote for their favorite(s).
Three organizations/businesses/groups/individuals with the most money in their boxes will win the 2020 tree walk.
All proceeds from the boxes will go to benefit the Lyon County Museum’s mission of preserving and presenting Lyon County history.
First, second and third place prizes will be awarded to the top three decorated trees. First prize is $150 in Marshall Chamber Dollars, second prize is $100 in Marshall Chamber Dollars, and third prize is $50 in Marshall Chamber Dollars.
Registration forms are available at the Lyon County Museum, online at www.lyoncomuseum.org, or send an email to email@example.com.
The deadline to register is 5 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 6. Space is limited. Completed registration forms can be returned by mail, email, or can be dropped off at the museum.
