Lyon County Museum opens new exhibit

The Lyon County Historical Society Museum has opened its much-anticipated second floor exhibit, Executive Director Jennifer Andries reported.
The opening of the second floor exhibit, entitled "Making Lyon County Home" was delayed because of the governor's COVID-19 restrictions.
The new well-organized and insightful exhibit will contain contemporary, fully immersive exhibits from 1945 to present day.
It will be a space that will enhance the senses, exhibit everyday moments, and explore the extraordinary growth of Lyon County.
"There are many unique and moving stories from the past 70 years in Lyon County," said Andries. "The new exhibit gallery will be a fantastic venue to share those stories, photographs, and artifacts."
Museology Museum Services of Minneapolis led and developed the exhibit gallery.
Museum hours for the month of January are Monday-Friday, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Saturdays, noon to 7 p.m.
