The Minneota American Legion honored two Minneota seniors with a Certificate of School Award and a bronze medal recently. The awards go to a relative of an American Legion member. From left to right, Legion member John DeSmet, his grandson Dylan DeSmet, Legion Commander Jim Fink, Klaire Banks and her grandfather Harold DeSmet. John and Harold are brothers.
