Legion holding Patriotism, Purpose Art Contest

The American Legion of Minnesota announces the 2020 Patriotism and Purpose Art Contest to honor our Veterans and the sacrifices they have made for our country.
The winning artwork will best reflect the impact our Veterans have on our communities and our nation, particularly in inspiring patriotism and love for our country among Minnesota’s youth.
The art submission must be produced by the child without assistance from anyone else. The entry must be original and not a copy of another work.
Any Minnesota resident under the age of 18 can enter the contest. Entries must in landscape format (horizontal) and be submitted on an unfolded 81/2" x 11" sheet of paper and can be a drawing, painting or collage. The deadline for entry is Sept. 1, 2020.
Two $500 prizes will be given; one to those ages 5-12 and another for those ages 13-17. Artwork must be mailed to: The American Legion Department of Minnesota, 10 West 12th Street, Room 300-A, St. Paul, MN 55155
Contest winners will be announced via the Department website and social media.
