Learn about Agriculture's Impact at the 2022 Minnesota State Fair

The Minnesota Farm Bureau Federation (MFBF) is excited to be a part of the Minnesota State Fair in 2022.

There are many opportunities to interact with MFBF leadership and members. We work to support the vitality of agriculture in the state, and welcome the opportunity to talk about the significance of farming and agriculture production.

With the upcoming election and discussions around the 2023 Farm Bill President Dan Glessing, Vice President Carolyn Olson and additional board members are available to talk about the issues facing farmers and the impact of legislation on agriculture and rural communities. Leadership is also available to provide updates on the upcoming fall harvest and general agriculture impact. Please contact Communications Manager Rachel Reisig to set up an interview.

Farm Bureau’s building is located on Underwood Ave., directly behind the Giant Slide. We invite you to stop by, engage and showcase the impact of Minnesota agriculture as you experience our “Farmers Produce more than Produce” display. The building is staffed daily by farmer members and MFBF employees.

Highlights include:
Use the grocery store scanner to learn more about agriculture and its ties to items you use every day.
Try on a pair of glasses and take a look at our 2-D displays and the many byproducts that come from agriculture production.
Test your agriculture knowledge against a friend when you play our agriculture trivia arcade game.
Visit our display honoring the 2022 Century and Sesquicentennial Farm recipients. On Saturday, Aug. 3, select sesquicentennial farm families will participate in the afternoon parade. The Minnesota FFA is celebrating 75 years of shows at the State Fair. We have many member families that have shown over the decades, carrying on the tradition. Contact Rachel Reisig to be connected to a multi-generational FFA exhibiting family.
