Homecoming 2019
The 2019 Minneota Homecoming is scheduled for Monday, September 30 to Friday, October 4 and the event is filled with fun, royalty and sports. Minneota’s football opponent on Friday night is MACCRAY.
A night earlier the volleyball team will travel to Tracy-Milroy-Balaton. They also play at home on Tuesday, Oct. 1 against Russell-Tyler-Ruthton for Parent’s Night. The Canby/Minneota Cross Country team will compete at Luverne on Thursday, October 3.
The homecoming coronation will be held at 2:15 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 30 in the Minneota High School Gymnasium. There will not be a homecoming parade this year.
Other scheduled events for Minneota Homecoming Week include: A start to the events begins at 2:45 p.m. Friday in the competition gym to show the dress up days to the whole school.
Here’s a tentative lineup of events:
Monday - VSCO GIRL vs. FRAT BOY Coronation at 2:15 in the Competition Gym; Powder Puff Football at K.P. Kompelien Field at 7 p.m.-Admission is a canned good or $1 donated to area food shelves.
Tuesday - Bikers vs Surfers Iron Man Volleyball. Court walks at the home volleyball game.
Wednesday - Baby vs Senior Citizen; Home team Rock Paper Scissors competition
Thursday - Decades Day 50s vs 60s vs 70s vs 80s vs 90s; Junior High Scavenger hunt and Senior High Family Feud
Friday - Blue and Gold Day Parking lot party/Tailgate with games; Court walks at halftime of football game; Movie on the football field after the game.
