Donation for new fire truck

The Minneota Fire Relief Association recently donated $60,000 to the City of Minneota. Minneota mayor John Rolbiecki, left, accepts the check from Doug DeSmet, center, and Mike Coequyt. The donation will be used towards the purchase of the new fire truck that the department has on order. The funds being donated were contributions made over the past several years through the Relief Association's fundraising efforts and support from the community. The new truck is currently being assembled and delivery is expected in September. This truck will replace the departments main pumper that has been in service for over 20 years.
