BAND, CHOIR CONCERT TO BE ON DEC. 8

The Minneota High School concert will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 8 in the Viking gymnasium.
This year’s concert theme is “An International Holiday Festival” and will feature students in grades 7-12 performing with the high school and junior high school bands, choirs and the jazz band.
The music aspect on the concert will focus on music from other countries, cultures and religions.
Several Minneota teachers and students are also getting involved in the theme of this year’s concert and helping in other ways.LeaAnne Bot's ProStart Foods Class will be making treats representing various countries.
Scott Hanson is having his Art students making decorations that will be displayed at the concert, including tree decorations that will be hung on a tree designed and constructed by Matt Buysse's welding class.
Teresa Myhre has students in her Spanish classes researching customs in other countries. Jessica Rosa's eighth grade Geography students are doing something similar to that.
David Moriarty has a class creating posters to advertise the concert and also has a seventh grade keyboarding class researching the origins of the songs that will be performed at the concert.
