Avera Scholarships include Abraham


The Avera Marshall Auxiliary has awarded three, 1,000 scholarships to area high school students. They include Landon Abraham, a graduate of Minneota Public High School.
He plans to attend South Dakota State University in Brookings to study biology with an interest in pursuing a career in medical research.
Abraham has worked in Scrubs Camp at Avera Marshall Hospital for three years.
Criteria for selection included academic excellence, a demonstrated participation in the health care profession and active community involvement.
Also chosen for the scholarships were Kavan Naughton, a Marshall High grade attending the University of Wisconsin, LaCrosse to become a physical therapist assistant and a physical therapist.
The other is Karley Polejewski a Marshall grade attending Minnesota State University-Moorhead.
She will pursue a speech/language/hearing sciences degree.
