HIGH SCHOOL TRACK & FIELD
The Canby/Minneota boys and girls track teams traveled to Worthington last Thursday to compete in a strong 12-team field.
The C/M finished second to Luverne, while the boys placed sixth. Worthington won the boys' meet.
In the boys' meet, Cayden Anderson was first in the shot put with a toss of 41-10 and was second in the discus with a throw of 127-10.5. Trevor Gray won the high jump in 6-2.
The C/M girls won two events and finished second in four others. Braelyn Merritt was first in the 800 run in a time of 2:28.85, while Nohemi Diaz won the 300 hurdles in 53.0.
Second-place finishes went to Claire Stoks in the 800, Diaz in the 100 hurdles, Karlie Wollum in triple jump, and the 4 x 400 relay team of Brynn Kockelman, Taylor Ourada, Claire Stoks and Jordy Jostock.
