Winter Reading Program begins soon

Winter Reading Program begins soon

It’s getting colder and darker… more time to snuggle up with a book or put together a jigsaw puzzle.
The Winter Reading Program for Adults will begin in January, but we are currently taking orders for sweatshirts and long-sleeved t-shirts if anyone wishes to purchase one. We will need to send in the order by November 16, so hurry in.
What a joy it is to have the Opera Hall to hold readings and other events. Dana Yost will visit Minneota on Thursday, Dec. 2, and read from his new novel “Before I Get Old.” The reading will start at 7 p.m. He promises not to give away the ending. Come and visit with Dana and enjoy refreshments afterwards.
Another event we look forward to in December is a Saturday morning Story Hour with a visit from Santa. The day for that event will be Saturday, Dec. 18 at 10:30 a.m. We encourage children ages 3-12 to visit us during this fun event. Parents welcome too, of course. Mark your calendars.
Did I mention puzzles? We are adding more to our collection, but please know that many of the other libraries will loan out their puzzles as well. Check the Plum Creek catalog for a great variety of jigsaw puzzles. Puzzles can be delivered to our library for pick up.
