A guy on his bike; coming to our town Dear Editor; My name is Guy Strandberg and I’m sending you this letter because on Monday June 24 I’m starting a four-day bicycle trip and will be coming through your town one of those days.

I plan to cross the entire state of Minnesota, from Iowa to Canada. Ill start south of Adrian and finish at Pinecreek (The Canadian border).

During these four days I’m hoping to meet some of your residents. I will be riding solo and my wife Marvel will be nearby in the "support vehicle".

Below is the schedule of towns that I will be going through each day, if you would like me to stop for a short visit please call or text 218-686-2721. Every day on the news we hear about the problems with America.

Yes, we have issues, but we can focus on the wonderful freedoms we have in the country and give thanks for those freedoms. As I ride across the state, please take some time to give a thought and thankful prayer for veterans in your community, all our veterans, our veterans families, and the sacrifices they have made and are making for our freedoms.

Please consider giving a donation to the Veterans Honor Flight of ND/MN. Our vets deserve it. This is a small way I can give back to those who have given so much. By the way, please also pray for protection, good weather and southerly winds as I ride across our great state.

Day 1, June 24: Iowa to Dawson MN (Highway 212 ). Towns: Chandler, Lake Wilson, Russell, Lynd, Ghent, Minneota, Taunton, St. Leo, Dawson.

Day 2, June 25; Dawson MN to Foxhome MN (Near Fergus Falls) Towns: Appleton, Alberta, Donnell, Herman, Norcross, Tintah, Nashua, Foxhome

Day 3, June 26: Foxhome MN to Red Lake Falls MN: Towns: Hawley, Ulen, Syre, Twin Valley, Gary, Fertile, Red Lake Falls

Day 4, June 27: Red Lake Falls to Pinecreek (Canadian Border) Towns: St. Hilaire, TRF, Holt, Middle River, Strathcona, Greenbush, Badger.
