Meyer, Schuur first time winners at Fiesta City

The Vintage Cars made their annual visit to Fiesta City Speedway for the Chippewa County Fair, along with the seven regular weekly classes.

Tad Peterson took the lead to start the Pure Stock feature. Abby Hacker took the lead with five laps to go. On the last lap, Henry Hacker passed Abby Hacker for the win as the field came to take the checkered flag.

After the race, Henry Hacker was disqualified after post-race inspection giving the win to Abby Hacker. It was her fifth win of the season. Josh Backman took the lead to begin the WISSOTA Midwest Modified feature. Corey Storck took the lead from Backman on lap four.

Josh Roggatz took the lead as the field took the white flag, and held on for his third win of the year. Dustin Karl took the lead at the start of the Vintage Car feature.

Curt Schuur took the lead with two laps to go and took the win in his 1964 Chevy Chevelle. It was Schuur's first win at Fiesta City Speedway. Derek Rieck, Jordan Tollakson and Ross Bjerkeset were three wide for the lead to start the WISSOTA Street Stock feature.

The next lap saw Bjerkeset take the lead. Justin Tammen took the lead on lap three and held off Tollakson for his fifth win of the season. Cory Tammen took the lead at the beginning of the WISSOTA Super Stock feature.

Tammen held the lead until Jeff Crouse took the lead with four laps to go. Tammen would take the lead back on the very next lap to get his first win of the year.

Taylor Garberich took the lead to start the WISSOTA Hornet feature. Dustin Virkus of Clarkfield took the lead with two laps to go and held on for his eighth win of the season.

Matt Gilbertson dominated the WISSOTA Modified feature, as he led from the start and won the race by nearly half a lap. The win was Gilbertson's third of the year.

Casey Meyer led the entire WISSOTA Late Model feature and held off Ryan Mikkelson in the final laps to get the victory.
