As the popular saying goes, “After every storm, a rainbow appears.” While I really enjoy the positivity that quote embraces, I don’t think it fits in my vocabulary this week.

My favorite event of the year is near. “The Great Minnesota Get Together” begins this Thursday! The Minnesota State Fair is one of my all-time favorite places to be.
The rides are set up, the malt wagon is in position, and the animals and their 4-Hers are ready to strut their stuff. The 115th annual Lyon County Fair is kicking off this week in Marshall.
Singing competitions, “soulmate” searches, being deserted on an island, cooking competitions, following a family with no real “talent” or dancing with celebrities sounds like a “grab bag”, right?
