Fun at the Yellow Medicine County Fair

Controlling your animal is part of the test. When Zahndra Bordewyk’s calf rose up, she brought it back down again. Then she showed it to spectators at the Beef Show at the Yellow Medicine County Fair on Friday.

Getting a cow ready to show can be a chore.

Gared Moorse (left) helped friend and fellow Viking wrestler Layne Lozinski get his animal ready. “He helps me in Lyon County,” said Moorse. Lozinski showed his heifer during the event.

Kids tried the air balloons, girls were busy washing their sheep to prepare to show.
