Mary Ann Horner of the St. Edward School in Minneota was recently nominated for Teacher of the Year by the Minneota-Taunton Post 5334.
She has been named the district winner and her application will now go on to state competition.
VFW Local Post Teacher of the Year Coordinator Ed Lozinski submitted Horner for the honor.
