A pre-holiday stress reliever

“This is the only time you’ll see kids running in the hallways,” joked Principal Jeremy Frie. In an effort to allow kids to work off excessive energy and relieve the pre-holiday stress, they were treated to fun and games just before the holiday break began.

One of the events was a “Scavenger Hunt,” that had the kids searching for clues then bringing what they found to a central point in the school hallway, where trained seniors marked their sheets as the hunt continued.

“You can tell this is a college scavenger hunt,” said Mary Noyes, who discovered it being used in a college and brought to Minneota. While it was fun, it was also challenging.

Kids had to solve problems and find clues. One of the efforts to unwrap clues was in a jigsaw puzzle kids had to put together before they could continue.

Despite how tough it was, it went well, except for the exact moment when the State Fire Marshall walked in and made the kids move their table away from the door.

You had to prove you’d found a clue before it was accepted by the panel of seniors.

Jacob Hennen, with plaid pajamas, also did the same.
