Not your mother’s classroom anymore

Minneota’s newly remodeled Elementary School went on display to visitors last Friday night.

An Open House gave visitors a chance to see the changes up close.

Bennett and Jan Bot, Ruth Bot and Superintendent Dan Deitte entered a class with a brightly-colored message on the wall.

Ella Bot visited with teacher Lisa Hart in the new kindergarten room and Royal Hettling got a look at the “alternative seating” room that includes comfortable or “homey” type of seating for students.

It certainly is NOT the old “desk-upon-desk” room most parents and grandparents grew up with.
