North Pole Extravaganza Coming Nov. 5

Here’s a chance to get some of your holiday shopping out of the way early with the 25th annual North Pole Extravaganza fast approaching.
This year’s event has been scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 5 from 9 am. to 2 p.m. Several local businesses will be offering discounts, drawings and treats for shoppers.
Numerous vendors will be again selling a variety of gift baskets, homemade decor, jewelry, food, books and much more at Bethel Fellowship Church. There will also be a bake sale by the St. Edward’s Church ladies that will offer a wide variety of homemade cookies, bars, breads and more.
Santa Claus will arrive via a Minneota truck to greet children and have his photo taken with them.A silent auction will again be held with proceeds benefitting a local group. There will also be a Sloppy Joe lunch served at the church that day.
North Pole Extravaganza began several years ago by “hunting widows” whose hunters would go deer hunting that day. Those ladies decided to make and sell homemade cookies, bars and breads, as well as crocheted scarves, mittens, caps and more.
Over the years, the event evolved to include more vendors and business owners.
Watch the Mascot for more details on vendors appearing and discounts offered by local business owners.
