Friends of Library holding fundraising raffle

The Minneota Friends of the Library are again sponsoring a fundraising raffle in order to help defray costs of repairs to the historical library building, including a much-needed tuckpointing project.
The fundraising raffle replaces the former Chocolate Affair fundraiser that was held for several years, but was discontinued during the COVID period. Last year's raffle was such a big success, that the Friends of the Library decided to sponsor it again this year.
The Friends of the Library is working with the Society of the Preservation of Minneota's Heritage (SPMH) to complete repairs to the former Big Store building that is on the National Register of Historic Places. To help with project costs, a Legacy Grant has been awarded, as well as a Minnesota Department of Education Library Construction Grant. The Friends of the Library and the City of Minneota are contributing to this matching grant, with the bulk of the project funds coming from the SPMH.
The raffle includes several donated prizes, including a photography session with Brian Jeremiason Photography, a $200 cash prize, a meat bundle from Brad's Market, a two-month single membership to Fit 24, a one-year subscription to the Mascot, and gift cards from Gislason's Ace Hardware, AgPlus, City Hall Bar and Grill, Highway 68 Liquor, Minneota Building Materials and This and That Recreated.
The raffle drawing will take place on March 25, at the Minneota Public Library.
A limited number of tickets are available. Tickets are $10 each and are available from any Friend of the Library or at the library, as well as Brad’s Market, This and That Recreated, and Gislason’s Ace Hardware.
The Friends of the Library and SPMH appreciate your support.
