Countryside Fun Day set for July 25
You don’t even have to be a golfer to enjoy the annual Countryside Golf Club Fun Day on Saturday, July 25.
Tickets are $50 per couple and include a social hour with complimentary drinks and snacks, a meal with burgers and chips, 18 holes of golf for two people that includes a cart, drawings for free prizes, and a DJ with karaoke.
The value of the items included in the price of the tickets is around $125.
Among the prizes given away during the drawings will be several cash awards as well as clubhouse paraphernalia such as memberships, golf balls, coolers and more.
The number of prizes will be based on the number of tickets sold. If all 250 tickets are sold, the top cash prize will be $1,000 and the second prize will be $500.
“This is a fun event for everyone,” said Countryside General Manager Tony Esping. “And we can’t thank the State Bank of Taunton enough for sponsoring the event. I appreciate what they did.”
State Bank of Taunton President Duane Peterson and Vice President Doug DeSmet gave Esping a check to sponsor the event last week.
This is Countryside’s biggest fundraiser of the year.
The course opens at 8 a.m. for those wishing to golf early. The appreciation snacks and drinks will be from 5-6 p.m. with a social hour from 6-7 p.m.
A DJ will begin playing at 7 p.m. with the prize drawings also beginning at that time.
Countryside will be maintaining social distancing for the event, with room for up to 250 people outside the clubhouse.
“We will have all the protocols in place,” said Esping. “We will have plenty of room and still be able to follow all the guidelines (during the coronavirus pandemic).”
Tickets are available at the golf course. You can also call the golf course to reserve a ticket at 507-872-6335.
