Penny Milk Program begun in two schools

This week the Penny Milk Program was made available to the students of St. Edward’s and the Minneota public school. The program derives its name from its main purpose, that is, a serving of half a pint of milk to the student for a penny. The penny milk project is made possible through the Agricultural Marketing Administration. Naturally, the cost of the milk is greater than the penny per half pint which the student pays. Therefore, this federal agency pays the difference to the distributor which in this case is the Minneota Cooperative Creamery.
