Keep grass out of street

Did you know that it is illegal to blow leaves and grass clippings into the street?
Often, when people mow their lawn, they don’t think about the mower blowing grass clippings into the street. The amount can vary from a little to a lot depending on the length of the grass and the size of the mower.
The reason we don’t allow this is that it will clog the gutters and storm sewers with debris as well as contaminate the river. Before you put your lawn mower away you can run it in the street along the gutter and blow the grass clippings and leaves back onto your yard. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated.
