Every year millions of people make a resolution to eat healthier, join a gym or exercise more.
This year, I did that same thing. I have been pretty good except for the “in-between” times.
After your crunches at the gym, try crunching on this Cheesy Jalapeño Popper Popcorn recipe from the Popcorn Board. Visit www.popcorn.org for more healthy snack recipes.
Cheesy Jalapeño Popper Popcorn
- 4 quarts popped popcorn
- 2-3 teaspoons jalapeno green pepper sauce (or tabasco; more to taste)
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (substitute cheese with brewer’s yeast for a low fat alternative)
- 1 teaspoon garlic salt
1. Place popcorn in a large serving bowl.
2. Sprinkle popcorn with jalapeno sauce, Parmesan cheese and garlic salt; toss and serve immediately.
Yield: 4 quarts, 16 servings (1 cup each)
