New Year’s Delight

 My son, daughter and I love eggnog and we try to drink as much of it as we can during the holiday season (non-alcoholic of course). I found this eggnog recipe that is not kid friendly but sounds good.

Enjoy and drink responsibly!

Frozen Eggnog

  • 6 eggs, separated
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 pint milk
  • 1 pint bourbon
  • 1/2 cup rum
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 pint heavy cream

1. Beat egg yolks and 1/2 cup sugar until light and creamy. Add milk and liquors.

2. Beat egg whites until stiff with 1/4 cup sugar; add to mixture.

3. Whip the heavy cream and fold into mixture.

4. Pour into wide mouth container, leaving an inch at top.

Cover tightly, put in freezer. Before serving defrost in refrigerator.

Yield: Makes approximately 8 cups.
