Nuisance Ordinance
By:
Minneota Police Chief Bill Bolt
It is that time of the year again when we need to talk about our nuisance ordinance in Minneota. This ordinance exists to ensure that people are taking care of their property so that it does not become a health issue for their neighbors. This includes things such as mowing your lawn and ensuring that items are picked up or organized so that bugs and rodents don’t have a home.
The best way to avoid having me stop at your house with a concern is to take pride in your property. Grass can be no longer than 10 inches, it is important to avoid things that have standing water or piles of branches and leaves were rodents like to live. If you want a copy of the ordinance please pick one up at city hall.
