Ask the Chief

Thanks for your help

The City of Minneota would like to thank everyone who parked off the streets during our last three snow storms.

By not parking on the streets, you allow the snow to be removed more quickly and efficiently.

Plow trucks don't have to worry about hitting vehicles and can keep their speeds up there by allowing the snow to be moved to the boulevards.

In years past, there would be up to 100 vehicles on the street causing city crews to plow two or three times per storm.

This becomes expensive and hard on the equipment and staff.

By parking off of the street during a snow storm, you help keep taxes low, ensure a better job is done in plowing and make for an easier work day for our staff.

Your help is greatly appreciated and needed.

Thank you!
