Golf Carts and ATVs

I am seeing golf carts and ATVs that do not have the required city permit.
If you want to drive your golf cart or ATV in town you need to follow the ordinance and get a permit. The ordinance requires that only a licensed driver may operate an ATV or golf cart in Minneota.
A hazard triangle must be displayed on the back of your golf cart or ATV, as well as the city permit which costs $15. All golf carts and ATVs must also have insurance on them that covers their operation on a street, in addition to a rear view mirror. If your golf cart or ATV is gas-operated, it must have a muffler.
You may obtain a copy of the city ordinance for additional safety rules. Please demonstrate your care and cooperation by obtaining a permit as soon as possible.
