Please be smart. Don't drink and play with fireworks. Kids should not handle fireworks. Fireworks are for responsible adults. People work tomorrow, so keep it quiet after 10 p.m.

If you have a party, invite the neighbors so they don't call in a noise complaint. If you get a ticket for illegal fireworks, don't blame the police since you are the one that bought them in South Dakota.

If you do something that gets the police called to your residence, I encourage you to be polite and honest when they show up.

Remember, it was your behavior that caused someone to call 911 and arguing with the police never ends well.
