Couple's shower honoring Travis Longhenry and his bride-to-be Chelsea will be held Saturday, June 17 from 2-4 p.m. at the Porter Hall in Porter. The couple is registered at Target, Bed, Bath & Beyond & Canby Drug.
Recently, the Buffalo Ridge Pheasants Forever chapter completed the purchase and transfer of 160 acres North of Ivanhoe in Marble Township to the U.S. Fish and Wildlife.
All Music on Monday events will feature local and regional artists each performing different types of music.
The events are free to the public, but freewill donations to help underwrite the series will be welcomed. This is a project of the Canby Arts Council which is sponsored by the City of Canby.
The next Music on Monday program will be held on Monday, June 25 and will feature Resistance, a local rock group. Pulled Pork sandwiches will be served.
The first 2017 Canby Music on Monday Performance will be Monday, June 12 and will feature Brothers 2.
The music will start at 7 p.m. Plan to bring your lawn chairs and enjoy this open air performance at Canby’s Central Park. Brothers 2 will feature two guitars and will play classic rock music. The group is from Ortonville. A grilled hamburger feed prepared by Jim’s Market will be served starting at 6 p.m.

Kelsey Maeyaert of Minneota was recently initiated into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation's oldest and most selective all-discipline collegiate honor society.
Grandview Township meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at 7 p.m. at the Ghent Town Hall.
